Because thyroid is in the mitochondria of all of our cells, our whole metabolism is affected when we have hypothyroidism. I also struggle with this as my thyroid is gone after thyroid cancer. Exercise for 30 to 60 minutes a day is imperative, plus a lower carb diet seems to help....

I have a thyroid disorder and when my medication was adjusted (increased) I lost 35 pounds. I have about 35 more to go and I haven't made any progress even with joining a gym and adding quite a bit of exercise.

I don't want to use having a thryoid disorder as an excuse, though. I think --in theory--we should be the same as anyone else when we get the replacement hormone. Losing weight is hard work and it's slow. You just have to keep plugging away.

I had an overactive thyroid and managed the problem with tablet medication. If I noticed I gained too much weight I was allowed to adjust the amount of tablets I took - I can't quite remember how much though. So, I was the opposite to you, are you on medication? You may be able to increase your medication. Check with your Dr. Otherwise, you just have to watch your food intake. I am not on any medication now, my thyroid must have come good or something. My diagnosis was Graves Disease, one of the symptoms being protruding eyes, but as yet things seem to be ok. Good luck.

first if you are well treated and your thyroid function is in good balance you will have no over weight problems
,i mean your endocrinologist and you have to work on the right amount of medicine you need
and i think any balanced diet not to exaggerate any kind of food and having a bit of everything is working well for all of us if we have or not thyroid problems

Do not assume you have this problem unless your doctor confirms it with a blood test. Keto 7 is somthing sold over the counter for it but has some nasty side effects once it builds up in your body.
