Are thyroid problems hereditary? Because my mom just found out her thyroid isn’t working correctly and i’ve been working out for 3 wks and one day it’ll be 147 but then it jumps back to 149. My mom is in great shape so it’s not like we’re unhealthy ppl, I have been eating healthy and exercising daily and even blogging it all. Does it sound like i could have a thyroid problem? And if i were to sched a dr. app how long does it usually take to get in?

Ok so, to include some more info… no my mom isn’t overweight, she’s actually in great shape for her age… The only way she thought she may have had a thyroid issue is bc she wouldn’t lose weight and she had some other symptoms… she only weighs 130. I weigh 149 and i’m 5’3 and 20yrs old, my average weight should be 130 and i’ve been eating really good and working out w/my mom twice a day for 3wks. i’ve weighed myself for the past 3 wks in the mornings and a few times it dropped to 147 but this morning it was back up to 149.
I had mono over a year ago and i still feel so tired. i never wake up in time for school. i take 2 hour naps and still feel tired. i have no motivation to do anything. i haven’t changed my eating habits or exercise habits and still gained 12 pounds. the doctor did a bunch of blood work and thyroid was one of the tests but he said it was ok. my friend had the same symptoms and had to get tested 3 times before the doctor said that he had hypothyroidism. if anyone knows anything about this please help i don’t know if i should go back to the doctor help!
